Rosaura Castellanos

Welcome

Rosaura Castellanos grew up in Oxnard. She went to Curren Elementary and Fremont Middle School in the Oxnard School District. She graduated from Oxnard High School and continued her academic studies at California State University Northridge. Upon graduation from CSUN in 1994, she began her career in education in North Hollywood. After five years, she moved back to her hometown where she has been part of the Oxnard School District for the last 27 years and has 32 years of service in education overall.
She went back to school, completed her master’s degree in Administration at California State University Northridge, and has taught Bilingual Education and Dual Immersion from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Mrs. Castellanos has worked at Harrington Elementary School, Ramona School, University Preparation School at Channel Islands, and Juan Soria School. She is now in her 11th year of administration and in her 6th year at Harrington, where she is very happy to serve her community.

Rosaura Castellanos creció en Oxnard. La directora Castellanos atendió la escuela primaria Curren y la secundaria Fremont en el distrito de Oxnard. Se graduó de la preparatoria Oxnard y siguió con sus estudios en la Universidad de Northridge (CSUN). Terminó su bachillerato en el año de 1994 en la Universidad Northridge, y comenzó su primer trabajo en la ciudad de North Hollywood. Después de cinco años de servicio en North Hollywood, regresó a Oxnard. Aquí, empezó su primer trabajo para el distrito de Oxnard en el cual ha trabajado por 27 años, con un total de 32 años de servicio en la educación.

La directora Castellanos regresó a sus estudios y terminó su maestría en administración en la Universidad de Northridge. Ella ha enseñado de kínder a quinto grado y ha trabajado en programas de educación bilingüe y de doble inmersión. La directora Castellanos ha trabajado en la escuela Harrington, la escuela Ramona, la escuela preparatoria de Channel Islands en Camarillo, y la escuela Juan Soria. Actualmente está en su año número 11 de administración y en su sexto año en la Escuela Harrington, donde está muy contenta de servir a su comunidad.
